

Introduction:
Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award in 2009 under the umbrella of Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program (SKGEP). The award aims to promote the role of the federal government institutions serving the UAE society at all levels and seeking to build and motivate principles of excellence. SKGEP is the first integrated federal platform aiming to gauge and celebrate excellent performance and innovative initiatives in the UAE’s Federal Government.The SKGEP was established under decree No. 165/22 dated 12/6/2006, and was approved by the Cabinet.
The Award’s Objectives:
- Promoting the role of the federal government institutions serving the UAE society at all levels.
- Increasing awareness about the principles of excellence and its role in modern governments.
- Developing the competencies required to boost excellence in the Federal Government.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Government Excellence Award consists of five categories and 24 awards:
