Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum raised the UAE flag in Zabeel Park this morning in the presence of more than 20,000 school students, representing almost 120 different nationalities residing in the country. 

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by his daughter Sheikha Al Jalila Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Protocol and Hospitality Department in Dubai, and a number of senior officials. 
His Highness hoisted  the flag on a 12-metre flag pole with the national anthem playing in the background.
Commemorating the path-breaking efforts of the
nation’s founding fathers, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the UAE Flag Day celebrations symbolize the nation’s colossal achievements.
