My wishes, oh one who grants my wishes,
That these great affairs unite us in one conception.
We were one nation that became estranged,
And from our weakness our right is today violated.
We are one nation despite enemies,
How did we, from sundering, become nations?
Our honourable past came to be memories,
Of heroisms, leaderships, and wars.
How is it that calamities rained down on Arabic unity?
And how is it that our ways today diverge?
Alas, glory of bright ages,
You became sorrow in your melting hearts.
Never say our honour and glory perished,
And the sun of glory setting sank.
In our unity be miracles,
When we repent of dissension and divisiveness.
Forbearance and forgiveness are in our nature,
In the guidance of the Holy Qur'an, and matter in religion.
Oh our brethren in Kuwait and around the Euphrates,
Oh our Arabs in the north and the south.
Zayed called us in determination,
A call of such strength hearts revive.
Listen to Zayed and awaken,
He called us to repent of estrangement.
Who follows Zayed should bring glad tidings,
Following Zayed is a must, indeed a must.
