Mohammed's statement on Emirates Group

In a statement delivered by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, he paid tribute to Emirates Group and the role it plays in supporting development in the UAE.

Today I would like to express our great pride in Emirates Group, one of the nation's most prominent institutions, which supports comprehensive development around the UAE. We are proud of the group's great assets, including its lengthy experience, deep knowledge and high quality performance. Such assets teamed with efficiency and flexibility, have enabled the group to overcome numerous challenges to emerge as a successful player in the regional and international arenas. 

Emirates Group has contributed to the consolidation of Dubai and the UAE as world-class destinations, not only for trade and business, but for culture and sports as well. Emirates is a key link between the world's six continents, supported by the country's advanced civil aviation infrastructure.

We are buoyed by our optimism for Emirates Group and the future of our youthful and ambitious airline. This confidence does not arise from a vacuum, rather it stems from a history of achievement and quality that has seen the company join the ranks of the world's most prestigious airlines.
