Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has extended greetings and appreciation to the UAE Armed Forces founders, who contributed to building this institution, especially the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

In his speech published in the 'Nation Shield' magazine, Sheikh Mohammed said that on the occasion of 40th anniversary of the Unification of the Armed Forces, "We greet members of the UAE Armed Forces, commanders, officers and soldiers, as well as those in other security authorities and veterans in the field."

Sheikh Mohammed said that he, along with all mothers and fathers, and UAE citizens, extend appreciation to the nation's martyrs who sacrificed their lives to support the right and thwart evil before it is too late, and which threatens the security and stability of our country and our region. "I greet every Emirati citizen who is part of our big Emirati family, to have love, cooperation, solidarity and good ethics, and to come together in both joy and hardships to express our loyalty to the homeland and the leadership, to enhance our renaissance and achieve our aspirations."
