The glorious occasion of Accession Day, which we celebrate every year, is a real milestone in the history of our country. We celebrate this occasion in order to remind the younger generation of the achievements of Sheikh Zayed.
Sheikh Zayed strongly believes that the real wealth that God has given the UAE is its human resources, hence the immense investments in manpower. Sheikh Zayed has been shown to be right, because the prosperity that the UAE enjoys today is sustained by the commitment of the UAE citizens, who are well educated, patriotic and hard working.
The celebration of this occasion becomes ever greater when one considers the influence that Sheikh Zayed exercises beyond the UAE, particularly in terms of his unfailing efforts to enhance our country's position in the world community, and his generosity in extending a helping hand to needy people around the world.
