In the name of Allah, on the 29th of October last year I made an announcement about Dubai Internet City. I had a clear vision; transforming the local economy by making Dubai the hub for the new economy business. My commitment to the new economy business was four-fold.

There will be a world-class infrastructure. There will be the right conditions for e-business. There will be a clear, business-friendly attitude. There will be a clear business advantage from operating from Dubai.

These commitments have been fulfilled. I am pleased to say that there is over 180 international companies ready to move in and, in the next two months, there will be 3,000 knowledge workers moving into the Internet City.

What I'd like to say is, well done to the Internet City team and well done to all these companies who took the advantage.

I tell my team, in the race for excellence, there is no finishing line and this statement is becoming more true every day. Today, I make a further announcement and this is my commitment to you all. We will establish Dubai Ideas Oasis. It will be a grouping of businessmen, consultants and service providers, who together will turn ideas into successful business.

In one year, I wish to see the new economy business operating out of Dubai. The test of success will be if businessmen find it more profitable to carry out their e-business from Dubai. There is no other test. This is the project. This is to be pursued with energy and efficiency. Dubai must be part of the new economy and my wish is that we are a general part of that economy. This is Dubai's path and this is Dubai's future.

I'd like to say that, again, for the race of success there is no finishing line. When we promise we deliver. We all have dreams, but only a leader can change these dreams to reality. We all take risks in life, but do you know what is the biggest risk? Of not taking risks at all.
