Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Awards
Introduction
The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Awards were established in 2003, as a joint collaboration between Sheikh Mohammed and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). The awards honour and reward UAE students who have achieved outstanding examination results in Cambridge IGCSE, A and AS Level exams, and also those who have contributed significantly to their school and local community.

The Competition
There are three categories of award, which are as follows:
The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement, which is awarded to students who achieve outstanding results in their IGCSE, AS, or A Level examinations.The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Special Achievement Award, which is awarded to students who achieve excellent results in challenging circumstances.The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Award, which is awarded to students who make outstanding contributions to their schools and local communities.The winners are chosen by CIE representatives based on the criteria above.
The 2003 awards ceremony took place on January 13th at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Maktoum presented the awards on behalf of Sheikh Mohammed.
Prizes
Each student receives a certificate stating his or her achievement.
