
UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has received, today at Zabeel Palace, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key and his accompanying delegation.
Present at the meeting was Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The two officials discussed issues of mutual interests and ways to enhance bilateral ties and further develop trade, aviation and tourism relations between the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand.
Sheikh Mohammed loaded the already strong relations between the two countries, affirming the UAE’s dedication to extend bridges of humanitarian ties with other countries around the globe to further boost bilateral economic, cultural and tourism relations; consequently, maintaining security and stability across worldwide. Meanwhile, Sheikh Mohammed accepted an invitation to visit Wellington at a later time.
Prime Minister John Key went on to explain that his country hopes that the New Zealand’s companies operating in UAE would benefit from its involvement in such an international event, bringing the world together under one umbrella and opening investment, economic and trade partnerships. He further added that Dubai Expo 2020 would pave the opportunity of the participating countries to promote their tourism sectors. Moreover, Dubai Expo 2020 would contribute to bolstering cultural cooperation and human convergence among peoples and countries.
Present at the meeting were Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Environment and Water and head of the honorary mission Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, Minister of State Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Abdullah Al Shebani, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman and New Zealand Ambassador to the UAE Jeremy Clarke-Watson.
